In June of 2011, Alvin, a 17-year-old Harlem local, was repeatedly stopped by police for “looking suspicious” as he was walking home from his girlfriend’s. The third time Alvin was stopped that night, he wisely took a recording of his encounter with them in secret. The recording is disturbing and eye opening. It is also one of the few known recordings of the Stop-And-Frisk policy in action to date.
